

Etu is a well-established bass player singer/songwriter specializing in Afro-Jazz/Fusion and originating from Senegal, West Africa. He has performed with the most renowned Senegalese musicians including Omar Pene and the Super Diamono. However, Etu learned to preserve his originality throughout the years despite his active involvement on the Senegalese musical scene.
Etu's musical background is diversified and eclectic: He credits the following artits as the main influences in his musical career: Habib Faye, Jaco Pastorius, Victor Bailey, Alain Caron, Marcus Miller, Gary Willis, Victor Wooten, Jimmy Haslip, Nathan East, Stanley Clarke....
He has also influenced many young bass players and young musicians from around the world. Based in Maryland, USA, He oftens performs in front of an ever-growing public that is actively awaiting the release of his much-anticipating album.
In September 2006, Etu signed a distribution contract with Global One Records After recording a quite impressive number of original songs, Etu is now readying his first full-length CD which should be available worldwide.
